This 8-hour, hands-on introductory workshop will allow participants to learn and directly apply the principles of lean manufacturing. Learning applications will quickly demonstrate how eliminating the eight types of waste effects the bottom line of running a company. Through three progressive applications (from traditional to more progressively lean) participants will be able to determine profit or loss by actually assembling a manufactured product.

This highly interactive workshop simulates building '57 Corvettes, PT Cruisers and Ford F-150 Pickup Trucks during the three factory "shifts" over the course of the day. The "SIMply Better" employees (every participant has an assigned job) typically go from losing around $500,000 the first shift (in a traditional factory setting) to making over $250,000 the last shift - a three-quarter million dollar swing! The overall driving message of this simulation is that when an organization is highly profitable, it is to everyone’s advantage: the customer, company management, the employees and stockholders.
