W. Robinson Lane-

Rob serves as Managing Partner and Principal of the Lean Enterprise and Supply Chain Management practices. He possesses an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Masters in Business Administration from the School of Management at Syracuse University. He has also received extensive management, Total Quality Management, new product introduction and leadership training.

Prior to joining Seven Pines, Rob spent twenty-one years with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and its Carrier Air Conditioning Division. His career encompassed a broad range of responsibilities in executive and management positions. His experiences include business unit leadership, company acquisitions and acquisition integration, operations and project management as well as corporate and divisional leadership roles. As Director, Supply Chain Management and Logistics for UTC, Rob lead implementation of strategies and business process changes that resulted in $50M of annual cost and inventory reductions. He has extensive global purchasing experience from his roles as Operations Director for Carrier’s compressor division and corporate commodity director for UTC where he and his teams achieved in excess of $60M in cost reductions through implementation of supplier partnerships, cost productivity teams and global sourcing. He gained deep knowledge of new product introduction techniques and lean manufacturing practices while leading a cross-functional integrated product team to develop and bring to market a new commercial screw compressor. This program included the ground-up implementation of a new, world-class factory with build-to-order and mixed-model manufacturing capabilities. He is very knowledgeable on end-to-end supply chain/value chain business practices, having developed and implemented these enterprise strategies at the business unit, divisional and corporate levels.


Philip Reagan-

Phil founded Seven Pines in 1988. He serves as Partner and Principal of Change Leadership Practice. Phil has consulted with over 120 companies since founding Seven Pines Consulting Group in 1988. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, change leadership, business process improvement, executive coaching and leadership/management development. Phil’s educational background includes a doctorate with an emphasis in Leadership, Management and Organizational Development from the University at Albany, with two additional graduate degrees in Education Administration and Guidance and Counseling earned through St. Lawrence University. He also has earned undergraduate degrees in business and psychology within the SUNY system.

Phil’s professional background spans the past thirty years. He has served ten years in various management positions including first-line supervision, middle management and executive level. He has four years of full-time teaching experience with the State University of New York (SUNY) serving as a mentor for Empire State College in a specialized Management Development program. He served as an adjunct professor for Chapman University in their MBA and Human Resource Management and Development graduate programs for 12 years. Phil more recently served as an adjunct professor at the Syracuse University School of Management teaching in the MBA program.

Bob Gilman-

Bob serves as a consultant at the Seven Pines Consulting Group, Inc. Bob is a certified Jonah form The Goldratt Institute. He also has an AAS Degree in Agricultural Engineering from SUNY Cobleskill. Bob has over 35 years of experience in manufacturing, eleven of which as a Lean Manufacturing Consultant.

Bob started his career at Remington Arms Co. He held several positions including Manufacturing Floor Supervision, Quality Control in the Powdered Metal Division, Plant Superintendent, and last Continuous Improvement Manager. Apart from Bob’s experience at Remington Arms he has had opportunity to serve as a Manager of an Equipment Services Group implementing CMM, and as Plant Manager of a start-up operation.

Bob’s consulting assignments have taken him throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe.


Kathy Maurillo-

Kathy is a Trainer Consultant at Seven Pines Consulting Group, Inc. She has over 20 years of business experience in diverse industries and positions. She’s served as Administrator, Trainer and Manager in the fields of finance, retail, health care and manufacturing.

Kathy’s training, organizational development and lean manufacturing expertise was developed at TRW Automotive Electronics in Auburn, NY. Here she led the Best Practices team which identified very significant cost reduction and savings by implementing Lean Manufacturing principles. Kathy led other training courses as well in her position of Training and Organizational Development Coordinator. As communications liaison to the corporate Operations Effectiveness initiative, Kathy worked successfully with employees at all levels of the organization to gain consensus and improve leadership skills of key supervisors. As a member of the TRW Lean Team based in Cleveland, OH, Kathy delivered Lean Manufacturing training to employees at various locations throughout North America. Kathy also has experience as a Human Resource Consultant and Human Resource Manager with a focus on training, employee relations and management development.


Ishwar Mathur-

Ishwar is a Senior Consultant with Seven Pines. He has over 30 years experience in international marketing and sales, general management and manufacturing operations; having previously supported and managed international affiliates and joint ventures as International Sales Manager and Area Manager for a large multi-national company involved in the manufacture of hi-tech electronic process control instruments. Ishwar also independently managed a sales/manufacturing organization as General Manager with full P/L responsibility in Brazil where I lived and worked for 11 years.

As manufacturing consultant for the last 11 years, Ishwar provided business process reengineering services to several companies in the area of operations/asset productivity improvement, lean manufacturing and quality management systems.

Ishwar is a Mechanical Engineer and a RAB certified ISO auditor.
